The forums are here for anyone to post on. We do not limit registration to anyone nor do you need to own a Dodge Magnum, Chrysler 300 or Dodge Charger to join. We hope to make this website/forum an informational and enjoyable place to visit.

Our forum is considered to be a lightly moderated board. The basic ground rules for discussions are simple: respect other users, use common sense and do not break the law.

The rules below will be enforced by the moderation staff of GALXClub. If a member is found to have deliberately broken one of the following rules, they then may receive warning (by PM)or an infraction.

An infraction is essentially a "ticket", and is given at the discretion of the moderator. An infraction can vary in value (1 to 10 points), depending on the severity of the offense. Infraction points may also expire after a time frame or not, again depending on the severity of the offense and the judgment of the moderator. The member receiving the infraction will receive a PM outlining the points given and their effective time.

10 active infraction points earned will result in the member automatically being banned by the system. Again, one single infraction could earn 10 points (and therefore a ban) if the offense is serious enough. Don't misunderstand this: you do NOT necessarily get 10 'chances'.

Forum Rules/Etiquette

    * Avoid personal attacks. If you don't agree with what someone posted, debate their post... not the person that posted it.

    * Be respectful of other people when posting on the message board. Along the same lines as above, expressions of hatred based on race/ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, disability, and religion are strictly prohibited. Repeated harassment of other users is strictly prohibited and will result in deletion of your account. Because posts referring to religion or politics almost always turn into a flame war, threads that refer to either may be closed.

    * Try to keep the profanity to a minimum. Keep in mind that this website and it's forums are visited by people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. Many of which do not appreciate vulgar language. Profanity is not prohibited, but excessive use will be moderated.

    * Try your hardest to post in the appropriate forum. Don't be upset if we move your post to a more appropriate forum. If we happen to move a post, its usually because it would be more appropriate in another area.

    * Pornography will not be allowed in any way, shape, or form.

    * Post Whoring (to post useless things to raise your post count) will not be tolerated outside of the Off-Topic forum (though flagrant post-whoring in the Off-Topic section will not be tolerated either). If you don't have any comments on a topic, you don't need to post in it. If you don't know anything about a topic, let someone else answer it. Mindless bumps or continuous off-topic answers are considered post-whoring (as are continually posting one or two word posts). If you are in violation of this you will receive a warning, constant abuse will result in having your post count reduced and eventual banning.

    * No un-authorized advertisements. If you sign up for the site with the sole purpose of spamming by advertising without permission from a website administrator, you will be removed from the site. This includes posting advertisements in the forums or by registering for the sole purpose of displaying a website in your profile, signature or avatar. (This includes posting to advertise other automotive web forums or websites, for profit or not for profit.) If you would like to advertise on the website, please click  HERE to request further information. We do have a vendor's area on the board for our Supporting Vendors.

    * Group buys are not allowed from any non-supporting vendor without admin approval. Please do not post group buys unless you have cleared it first.

    * Participants may not solicit users for any purpose external to the forum. Most importantly our member base is not a resource to be "mined" by individuals, groups, or businesses, for profit or not for profit. Further; If you SPAM our members in any manner for your website or business, your account will be disabled.

    * Please respect the privacy of your fellow members. Posting the personal information of another member will not be tolerated. On the flip side, impersonation or misrepresenting yourself will also not be tolerated. Misused private information will be edited or deleted by a moderator. Any member engaged in posting the private information of another member, or is discovered to be misrepresenting themselves is subject to having their account suspended by an administrator. This includes attempting to use another person's account without their explicit permission.

    * Multiple accounts are not allowed.

    * Linking to any file/program/software that could harm a persons computer will result in a ban. This includes “crash me” sites.

    * GALXClub in no way supports street racing or racing in an unsafe and illegal manner. Discussions that involve any such law breaking are not welcome or permitted here. Obey your local traffic laws and satisfy your need for speed at the track only!

    * Resolve your problems with site sponsors or advertisers prior to posting on the board. We try to only have reputable companies sponsor or advertise on our site. If you have a problem with an advertiser, please try and resolve your grievance with them and don't blindly lash out at them on the boards. If you have a continued problem, please bring it to an administrator's attention and we will try and mediate.

    * Do not start cross-website/forum wars. If you have a problem with another website or forum, please bring the matter up with the administrator of the other site. We do not condone "fights" with other websites and do not want your actions to spill over onto this site. If you notice someone posting on the forums in a belligerent manner representing another website/forum, please contact an admin or report the post so it can be dealt with.

    * If you feel a post has been made that is belligerent, spamming or against any of the rules set above, please use the "Report to moderator" feature. By clicking the icon located on the lower right corner of each post, the website staff will be notified of any problems. With your help, we can keep GALXClub.com a fun and informative place for fellow LX Enthusiasts to hang out!

    * Any post or thread entered on GALXClub.com is considered being available on public domain and should be treated as such. No post or thread by any member or vendor will be considered representative of GALXClub, its staff or data providers. In other words, you are posting at your own risk. As such; all posts, attachments and threads submitted to GALXClub database are considered property of GALXClub.



Signature Rules

    * Signatures are allowed on the forum, however they must be reasonable in size and content (HTML is not allowed)

    * Absolutely no pornography or bad language are allowed in your signature

    * Signature pictures are limited to 500(W) X 120(H). An example of that size is below:

    * You are allowed 5 lines of text if you do not have a signature picture, 3 lines of text if you do have a picture

    * Advertising of any form is not allowed in your signature unless you are a Supporting Vendor. Due to Supporting Vendors conducting business on the forums, we do make allowances for larger signatures to assist in advertising. Though we still ask that they remain reasonable.

    * If you want more info then your signature can fit, simply make a post about your car and link to it in your signature! That way you can fit all the information about your mods and your car as you want

    * If your signature is too big, a member of the staff will PM you informing you to edit it to fit the requirements. If you do not edit your signature in a reasonable amount of time (or your signature is so ridiculously large that we aren't waiting) it will be edited by the staff.


Buy / Sell Rules

    * Be clear in your thread title if you are selling a part or looking for a part. (ie. WTB= "Wanting to Buy" )

    * Be descriptive. Take lots of pictures (if possible). Most importantly, post a price! Nothing more frustrating then having a part up for sale that you want to buy and the poster left no price.

    * Advise how to get in touch with you. If you don't visit the forum very often, leave an email address.

    * When you have finally sold your part, please post that you have done so! The preferable way would be to edit your original post to reflect the status of the item for sale. (This goes for price changes as well)

    * After you have completed a transaction with another member, leave feedback for them! GALXClub.com uses SMF Trader System and the Feedback link can be found on the sellers Profile Page.

    * Do not hijack sell or swap threads to indicate your unhappiness with a price. If you aren't going to buy it, don't bother!

   Info on Posting in the For Sale or Trade area

     *This Section of the Forum is Lightly Moderated so Please keep up with your own listings.
   
     *Please post in your ad if you have sold or traded the item. A message to the moderators / Administrators to lock / delete the thread would be helpful to keep the area tidy and keep down confusion.

     *This is NOT eBay !!!  although we are a happy family here the main rule that applies is BUYER / SELLER BEWARE !!
                         The administrators and Moderators cannot and will not be held responsible for bad transactions , and therefore will not tolerate Flaming on the Boards.
                         Keep disputes to PRIVATE MESSAGES (PM) DO NOT AIR OUT YOUR DIRTY LAUNDRY HERE.

     *If the Problems are Persistent please PM an Administrator and we will try to mediate

Poster Child of the Month Rules


   * You Cannot nominate a Member who was voted PCOM in the Last 12 months. this is in fairness of all on our forum.

   *  PCOM Status is good for one year. If the Member was elected to PCOM for the month of January 2007 , the term will expire the LAST day of December 2007 making them eligible for re-nomination.
 
   *  The nominee must be a contributer to our forum in such a way that he/ she is deserving of the nomination. Supporting Vendors are usually not allowed for nomination, but special instances arise, Therefore with admin approval , they will be allowed to participate. ( but , Gift Certificates and other prizes that may be associated with the selection may be forfeited.)

   *  The NOMINATOR should give a reason, 20 words or more , why they think the person nominated should be PCOM. This is necessary so that other members can see what is so special about that individual that you are nominating. campaigning is allowed , but must be limited to Signatures and Tag lines in your Signature.

Private Messaging (PM)

   *  Users must have a post count of 10 posts or higher to be able to send / receive Private Messages.

   * Private Messages are invisible to forum staff , thus they cannot be moderated, However, the messages ARE stored in cache and can be retrieved if complained about or illegal activities are thought to be occurring.
   
 Event Guidelines for Meet & Greets and other events where you are representing GALXClub.com

 *Courteous behavior is a must

 *No Drinking of alcoholic beverages (DUIs and DWIs resulting from a GALXC event will not be tolerated)
 
 *No excessively loud profane langauge - People already think car clubs members are rebels, why inflate this myth.
 
 *No "Autographing" , "Burning Out" or "Laying Rubber" on private property. This makes us all look bad.
 
 *Keep your stereo music low as to not upset the property owners and other guests.
 
 *NO DANGEROUS DRIVING,SHOWING-OFF or STUNTS !! Putting innocent people in Danger is not what we are about. Period.
 
 *No Fighting amongst members or anyone else ....This is illegal and will not be tolerated.
 
 *All other rules of event promoters apply first and foremost.




GALXClub Group Buy Rules and Regulations

GALXClub Group Buy Rules and Regulations are to apply to all Members and Vendors that are participating in group buys..

www.GALXClub.com takes pride in its Advertisers forums and looks forward to bringing business to each and every vendor via online exposure to the masses. Local shops, engine builders, parts retailers, tint/stereo shops, exhaust shops, etc are welcome to open an account to promote their business and are more than welcome to partake in online discussions with the rest of the members. We strive to keep your costs low to allow each vendor/advertiser to meet the goals of sales and success at the same time.
However, Rules and Regulations must be in place for the safety of our Members and the Vendors alike.
Participation in group buys means that you fully understand and will abide by the rules set forth below.

GALXClub Members:

Members that sign up for a group buy are considered "Committed", unless he/she makes it clear that they are 'Tentative".
* Group Buys rely on a minimum number of participants to procure a "special" price on items.It is not fair or good business not to pay or back out at the last minute. This will leave a bad taste in the vendors mouth, and cheat the other members out of the special price if, with you included, acheived the buy price.
* 48 hour notice if you must back out. We know things happen sometime, but a 48 hour notice is required (before the end date/time) to have yourself excluded from the group buy.Notice of exclusion will be made by public post in the group buy thread, the threads are time stamped and this will suffice as proof of 48 hour notice.
* Multiple instances of backing out of group buys will have the punishment of being banned from group buys for a time determined by Admins and/or Vendors.Warning Status will be shown by your username in every post.
* Non-Payment for your share of a group buy will carry a punishment of being Banned from our forum. Non-payment is considered Theft, and will not be tolerated.

*Members have the right to dispute this and state their case with Admins within 5 days of infraction occurring before the Ban is carried out.

GALXClub Vendors:

* Groups Buys don't nesessarily need Admin approval, but is advised to keep admins "in the loop".
* Group Buys when posted, shall have a plainly stated start date / time and end date / time.
* Group Buys will have a plainly stated price, with no hidden fees or other up-charges.
* Vendors maintain the right to cancel any group buy at any time for any reason, but must return any deposits within 3 business days if any were taken.
* Vendors reserve the right to take deposits. The deposit will not be more than 50% of the price. * Vendors must have enough stock on hand or be able to manufacture goods in a prompt manner as to ship group buy items in a reasonable amount of time*.
* Vendors must warranty or honor warranties with at least a 90 day workmanship guarantee, unless plainly stated in the initial group buy thread.
* Excessive shipping costs are a no-no and will be monitored. Please don't rip off our members with excessive shipping.
* Tracking Numbers are a great tool !! GALXClub suggests / encourages the use of Tracking Numbers.
* It is the Vendors responsibility to maintain a Paypal account, and collect payments for group buys.
* If it is deemed that the Vendor has taken payment, and not produced the items sold, the Members retain the right to seek legal action against the said vendor for theft.GALXClub.com will not pursue legal action on its own, but will turn over any records to the proper authorities without inclusion in the legal process.

*Reasonable amount of time equates to the buyer having the item in less than a month(30 calendar days) Tracking numbers are included in this.

GALXClub Forum Owners and Administrators / Staff:

*GALXClub.com Forum and its Administrators and Officers shall not/cannot be held responsible or liable for any transaction occurring between a Vendor and a Member. Transactions are private agreements entered in between the buyer and seller.
*GALXClub.com Forum and its Administrators and Officers shall not/cannot be held responsible or liable for any payments or failed payments between a buyer and seller whether occurring on the forum or elsewhere.
*GALXClub.com Forum and its Administrators and Officers shall not/cannot be held responsible or liable for any damages that may arise from the use or misuse of any item sold or bartered whether occurring on the forum or elsewhere between members or vendors.
* The moderators can only handle situations that they are aware of. The post reporting system is enabled so the users of the forum can help with the regulation of the site by reporting bad content/posts to the moderation teams.GALXClub moderation teams have the right to police ALL forums and Sub-Forums on our Domain,but will give way to you or your sub-forum moderaters in your sub-forum.

*GALXClub.com uses a Trader ratings system. This system is in place to record positive as well as negative experiences between members and vendors. It is strongly encouraged to use this system truthfully on a transaction by transaction basis so that other members can judge the integrity of the persons in question.



GALXClub.com and it's Staff and Administrators reserve the right to change and / or Amend these rules without prior notice. It is the members/vendors duty to keep up with any changes to these rules.
